Kieron Hawkes – Comedy / Drama

Since 2011, Kieron has directed and edited a plethora of successful series including Fortitude for Sky Atlantic, The Mimic for Channel 4 comedy which starred, among others, Terry Mynott, Neil Maskell (Utopia), Jo Hartley (This is England), Peter Wright and Ruth Sheen (Another Year). Kieron also directed episodes of BBC One’s Ripper Street, which has been a hit in America. He set up a high-profile comedy/drama series for Channel 4 called Not Safe For Work, that stars Zawe Ashton (Fresh Meat), and Sacha Dhawan (History Boys).

Kieron also wrote and directed the feature film ‘Piggy’ which starred Martin Compston (Line of Duty) and Paul Anderson (Peaky Blinders). The film was released in cinemas and became one of Sky Movies’ most popular On Demand titles in 2013.

After graduating from the London Film School, Kieron started working as an editor for film and TV. He quickly progressed through development roles to make a name for himself as an instinctive director of comedy and performance, working with a variety of comedians including Leigh Francis (Keith Lemon), Morgana Robinson, and Russell Brand.

Alongside his natural flair for comedy, Kieron has worked on promos and music videos, including the poignant film for Raleigh Ritchie’s Stay Inside, for Sony Music.

In 2018 Kieron signed with CAA in America and 42 in the UK, and went to direct the global hit series Power on Starz, as well as directing the entire final series of Fortitude.  He is currently working on a brand new big budget show for Sky called Intergalactic.  It’s an action adventure Sci-Fi, with an ensemble female cast, set in space in the future.  Kieron has directed the first five episodes and is executive producer for the whole series.
